Pre-Calc law of cosines?
I need the laws of cosines and help find that I am: a ^ 2 = b ^ 2 + c ^ 2-2bcCosA A = 30 ° b = 15 c = 20 I put in evrything, and I got: a = 10.2657 The answer on the back of the book says a = 18.6 I'm using a TI-89 Titanium Graphing Calculator. If anyone knows what can I do wrong, or what can use my computer would help to be appriciated. I am in degrees, we have other issues like this in the class, and I was the only onw always a different answer.
I get the same answer. The book had the wrong answer. You could check to see your characters, whether you for correct values, or b, c, and A.
